In the context of the European Parliament elections in June, this paper sets out ACCA’s policy recommendations to the new Members of the European Parliament and European Commissioners for the 2024 - 2029 EU mandate.

First, we aim to promote a fair transition towards a more sustainable future for both business and society.

Second, we encourage the ethical and responsible use of technology including AI within a safe and transparent environment.

Lastly, we support the development of a well-trained and ethically-driven accountancy profession that is well positioned to assist businesses and organisations across the EU.
