Some of our CPDs take the form of lectures conducted at the hotel ballrooms. Here’s one for the Financial Services community held at the M Hotel back in 2002.

By 2017, it was very apparent that technology will play a big role in the profession and hence we dedicated an event with a technology component to it. 

Continuing from our Technical and Technology Conference, we evolved the series into the ACCA Technical Symposium of today, recognising that technology is pervasive and already deeply embedded into the world of accountancy.

Often, the ACCA Global Presidents would deliver ACCA’s messages through workshops during their visits. Here’s ACCA President Leo Lee (in suit) speaking on the topic of taxation playing an important role in bringing greater good to society. ACCA Technical Symposiums have grown from strength to strength, and we often invite key speakers from the profession to address our member audience. Here is Mr Cheung Pui Yuen, Deputy Chairman of the Accounting Standards Council Singapore sharing his insights. 

We often partner with technology solution providers to deliver timely updates for our members on what are the latest tools and opportunities out there in a new world where technology develops at break-neck speed. Here’s is an example with TEZOS, we have had many other of such similar workshops with other partners too.

When the world was gradually recovering from the pandemic, there was much anxiety about the new world ahead. To help members gear up for the year, we invited Dr Toh See Kiat to deliver a lecture at the beginning of 2023 to share his unique insights of how he sees the year unfolding and where the challenges and opportunities would be. It was a much enjoyable session for members with his sharp and analytical insights and his frequent injections of humour!
