You’ll work, study and take exams, and be assessed and mentored by an experienced professional, and keep a log showing what you’ve learned.
The apprenticeship:
- takes a minimum of 12 months to complete
- dedicates around 20% of your working hours on learning and training, both with your employer and their training provider
- provides online learning support in the form of interactive lessons, access to a tutor and an online community of fellow students
- provides you with a salary while you learn
- involves just three exams taken 'on demand’ during your apprenticeship
- has one final exam, which you take when both you and your employer are ready.
Once you've passed, you’ll be a qualified Level 4 Accounting Technician.
The Level 4 syllabus includes the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business, which is a separate qualification on top of the apprenticeship award itself.
End-point assessment
At the end of the apprenticeship, when both you and your employer feel you are ready, you’ll sit the Technician Role Simulation exam.
Your training portfolio, which is a separate assessment, and comprising of a training log and written statement, will be also reviewed and assessed.
After your apprenticeship
Once you've completed your apprenticeship, you could choose to go on to gain:
- an undergraduate degree from Oxford Brookes University
- a Master’s degree from the University of London
- the full ACCA Qualification
That means that in just five years, you could become a chartered certified accountant, avoided student debt and earned a salary from day one.
You won’t just be level with people who went to university - you’ll be well ahead of them.
