Accountex London is returning next month, on 15-16 May. London’s ExCeL is expected to welcome over ten thousand accounting and finance professionals through its doors.
Nearly 300 software and service suppliers will be exhibiting, alongside an extensive education programme, to help visitors stay up to date with the evolving landscape of the profession.
The 250-plus session education programme includes 12 theatres of CPD accredited content, the Fintech Theatre and five exhibitor stand theatres. It will be made up of numerous thought-leaders, as well as experts in everything from mental health to neurodiversity. Topics covered include AI, AML, outsourcing/offshoring, branding, future leaders, legislation and more.
Visitors can also attend The ACCA Thinkers Theatre, that will have its own programme over the two days. They can also meet the ACCA team at their stand (Stand 30).

For those considering starting their own practice, James Goulsbra, Garrett Adam Accountants, Phool Ashraf, Gains Accountants, and Bridget Foley, ACCA, will be on the panel ‘Starting your own practice: the top five things practitioners wish they’d known’.
The experts will share lessons from their own journeys, plus ACCA representatives will be on hand to answer any regulatory questions.
Paul Surtees from Capitalise, and Glenn Collins and Jonathan Ashworth from ACCA, will be delivering the session ‘Do I have the resources and cash to trade?’ Navigating business environments internationally and minimising economic threats can be challenging for SMEs. The panel will be discussing the difference finance options, while also providing important insight into what businesses can do to have the right types of finance.
Visitors can join Nigel Adams, Ad Valorem, and Kevin Heaton, Heaton Vences, to hear about 'Planning your practice exit’. The pair will share their experiences and the many different options for planned exits.
Lynne Darcey Quigley, Know-it and Darcey Quigley & Co, will be hosting the seminar ‘Late payment and cashflow – why and what you need to know’. Lynne will cover everything from the reasons for late payment to what to look out for.
For those looking to learn more about cybersecurity, Damon Rands from PureCyber will be hosting the sessions ‘Defending the bottom line – cybersecurity strategies for accountants’. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of phishing attacks, ransomware and AI. As well as compliance in a digital world and building a cyber-resilient culture.
