A sneak peak at some of the highlights coming at Accountex London 2024

Accountex London is returning on 15-16 May 2024. London’s ExCeL is expected to welcome over ten thousand accounting and finance professionals through its doors.
295+ software and service suppliers will be exhibiting, alongside an extensive CPD accredited education programme, to help visitors stay up to date with the evolving landscape of the profession.
‘We want attendees to leave Accountex feeling knowledgeable and inspired. The seminar programme covers a wide variety of topics for those in practice, industry, or just starting out in their careers, so there is something for everybody. We can’t wait to release the programme in the next few weeks, it includes plenty of new themes, topics and speakers,’ says Accountex portfolio director, Caroline Hobden.
The education programme offers up to 16 free CPD hours, and will be held across 13 theatres and 250+ sessions. It will be made up of thought-leaders in the field and beyond, as well as experts in everything from mental health to neurodiversity. Topics covered include AI, AML, outsourcing/offshoring, branding, future leaders, legislation and more.
Accountex regular Rebecca Benneyworth will be returning to the stage, to dive into current tax issues. Also delving into the world of tax is Sharon Cooke, tax technical director from 20:20 Innovation, as she highlights her top 10 tax considerations for agents in 2024/25, which will include lots of practical pointers and key takeaways.
Mhari Aitken, Ethics Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute, will be hosting a session called ‘Addressing the Real Risks of AI’. The talk will cut through the noise surrounding AI to set out what the real risks are, and how to address them.
After the success of his session at Accountex Summit Manchester, Richard McCann is presenting ‘Audit your mindset: overcoming challenges with the power of ‘iCan’. Here he will draw from his personal journey of healing and growth. The presentation promises to empower audiences, with invaluable insights and practical strategies to conquer challenges and achieve success.
Visitors can also attend The ACCA Thinkers Theatre, which will have its own programme over the two days. They can also meet the ACCA team at stand 30.
