With Accountex London returning to ExCeL on 10-11 May 2023, the ACCA Theatre is back with a full programme of 14 sessions. The CPD accredited conference has 13 stages hosting presentations and panels on everything from tax updates to managing mental health and neurodiversity.
Visitors can attend sessions on a plethora of topics including regulations, climate change, the talent shortage and cyber security.
Here are some of our ACCA Theatre programme highlights to look forward to:
- The cyber insurance dilemma: prevention vs protection. Lorraine Boyle, partner at Mid-Market Professions; Jack Bassett, assistant vice president at Lockton, and Damon Rands, CISSP of CEO Wolfberry Cyber Security, will explore the issues and ongoing resource needed in cyber risk strategy and insurance, alongside the preventative measures and safeguards that businesses should have, to enable insurance underwriters to provide cover.
- With the cost-of-living crisis hitting everyone, join Paul Surtees, founder of Capitalise, as he updates visitors on the latest economic outlook, with help from Rachel Emmerson, outsourcing and business services at Kreston Reeves. During the session: Staying confident through the economic crisis the pair will showcase how tracking your clients’ credit score puts them in the best position to ride out uncertainty.
- Also high on the list of key themes for this year's show is climate change. James Lizars, founder and CEO of Thrive Accountants, will be presenting: The Road to Net Zero for SMEs: regulation, reporting and responsible business! With the UK government adapting additional policy steps to support its net zero 2050 targets, James will explore how to get ahead with the addition of a sustainability service line. Visitors will learn how to upskill, provide analysis, interpretation, insight and decision support to clients, while also making the changes to their own practice.
Visitors will be able to meet our ACCA team at stand 30.
