Finance Week offered a series of events aimed at SMEs and practitioners and provided an opportunity to hear from our partners about initiatives that will support recovery and build sustainable businesses for the future, including:

  • What are the financing options open to businesses, many of which will have taken advantage of government-backed schemes?
  • What role can accountancy practices play in helping these businesses not only get back on their feet, but also stay on their feet as demand returns, economic activity picks up and state support is scaled back?
  • What are your rights when financial matters go wrong, including how to get invoices paid, what to do about late payment and mediation services?
  • Could this also be an opportunity for accountancy practices themselves to reset their own businesses, and move to a more advisory role with their clients?

We thought it was worth revisiting the sessions and sharing them with members who may not have been able to join us.
