Policy and insights report
AI brings big opportunities, challenges and risks for accountants. While AI promises transformative potential, realising its benefits requires a nuanced understanding of its applications, impacts, and the necessary upskilling efforts.
The accountancy profession has a central role to play in driving and shaping the future of AI use by bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business needs – that includes ensuring ethical and responsible adoption.
ACCA has been a leading voice in the global accountancy profession driving the conversation and the direction of AI research and use to equip members, employers, and other stakeholders such as regulators and policy makers.
AI Monitor series
The AI Monitor series identifies and examines the accountancy perspective on pressing AI challenges, discussing routes and next steps for finance professionals.
It takes a thematic approach to key issues facing the profession when it comes to adopting AI: trust, talent, sustainability, risk and controls, data strategies, and more. This work is being undertaken in conjunction with ACCA’s Global Forum for Technology which brings shared thinking on how technology and data impact the roles of accountancy and finance professionals.
