National Apprenticeship Week brings together the entire apprenticeship community to celebrate the excellent work that apprentices and employers have been doing and showcase the difference they can make within organisations, to improve social mobility and create more opportunities for all.
As part of this year’s National Apprenticeship Week we’re pleased to have launched the ACCA Pledge for Potential in which we’re asking employers, parents, schools, colleges and training providers to pledge their support for apprenticeships as an entry route into the accountancy profession.
The Pledge for Potential demonstrates a commitment to apprenticeships and supports young people looking to join the profession as well as those looking to upskill or looking for a change of direction.
At ACCA we’re pledging to continue to highlight the value of apprenticeships and to ask the government to continue to fund apprenticeships and to promote their value across the UK.
For employers it could be an opportunity to find out about the funding available and to better understand the apprenticeships that are available and how they could benefit your business.
For organisations it’s also an opportunity to demonstrate a commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), especially goals 4 and 8 to ‘ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’ and to: ‘promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full productive employment and decent work for all.’
Through the Pledge for Potential we’re pleased to shine a light on apprenticeships as an effective way to grow talent, and develop a motivated, skilled, and qualified workforce. The videos shared demonstrate the value of vocational training routes, and we are proud to see the actions and steps taken by the community to grow talent.
Watch our finale video for an overview of the pledges received.
If you’ve not yet shared your pledge for potential it’s not too late. Visit our webpage to find out more.
