The CMI’s Chartered Manager award is the highest professional status that can be achieved in management and leadership, demonstrating a professional approach through competence, knowledge, professional standards and CPD.

Chartered Manager (CMgr) is exclusively awarded by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Chartered manager recognises your professional management and leadership experience. 

Chartered Managers are consistent high performers, committed to current best practice and ethical standards. CMgr is recognised by both the public and private sector as the highest status that can be achieved in the managerial profession.

You could become a Chartered Manager in as little as six weeks.  Here’s how it works:

  1. Contact the CMI Chartered Manager team to request registration - remember to quote your ACCA membership number
  2. CMI will send you the application form and invoice for the fees; draft your responses and return to CMI with a supporting sponsorship letter
  3. CMI will assign an assessor to work with you to finalise your form
  4. Complete a formal interview by telephone
  5. CMI will confirm your result

You have 12 months to complete the assessment process, but could become a Chartered Manager within as little as six weeks
