Regional Lead - China
Mr. Chen currently serves as Regional Lead, Policy and Insights for ACCA China. In this capacity, he has overall responsibility for ACCA’s policy, research and insights work across China, working with his team members in mainland China and Hong Kong. This work seeks to enhance ACCA’s brand, reputation and knowledge sharing in the public interest.
By connecting cutting-edge developments in the international accountancy arena with China's unique development model, he develops, oversees and advocates forward-looking insights and policy recommendations. He is responsible for a range of areas pertinent to the accountancy profession including for example, sustainable development (including green finance, carbon accounting, ESG strategy etc.), AI and digital transformation, talent and skills among others.
He has represented ACCA in dialogues with industry leaders at various high-end forums and summits, putting forward suggestions for industry development. In addition, he also engages regularly with National Accounting Institutions via knowledge sharing sessions and joint research.
Before joining ACCA, he provided strategy consulting services for 10 years, in the areas of sustainable investment, green finance, and ESG strategic consulting among others, to international and domestic institutions across banking, securities, insurance investment, medical devices, food and beverage, etc.
He obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham in Finance Accounting and Management and graduated with distinction in a master’s degree from University of Exeter in Financial Mathematics. He holds a certificate in Sustainability Essentials for Business from the University of Cambridge, UK, and is also a certified senior data asset operations manager.
