Ng Boon Yew FCCA
Executive chairman, Raffles Campus
Ng Boon Yew qualified as a certified accountant in 1974 while doing his national service. He joined Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in 1976 and was seconded to its London office in 1978, where he qualified as a chartered accountant (England and Wales). He returned to Singapore in 1982 and was admitted as a partner of KPMG in 1984. He retired from KPMG in March 2000 to become an independent consultant.
In 2004 Boon Yew took on the executive chairmanship of Raffles Campus, a leading educational group in Singapore. He launched a management buyout for the education business in Singapore and, through his personal foundation, Strategic Foundation Limited, took over Raffles Campus Pte Ltd where he remained as the executive chairman.
He was awarded the Public Service Star by the president of Singapore in the 2004 National Day awards. He serves or has served on the boards of a number of listed companies and public interest entities in Singapore.
