Marte Borhaug, head of financial services and corporate governance, CBI
Marte leads the CBI’s policy and lobbying work on financial and corporate governance issues, in the competitive markets directorate. The CBI’s leading voice on corporate governance and investment spans corporate reporting and transparency, equity markets and stewardship, boardroom issues and company law.
Our financial services work focuses on the business user perspective of financial services and how the FS sector enables the wider economy to grow, covering regulation at the UK, EU and international level. Marte was previously senior policy adviser on financial services in our Brussels office and worked on the CBI’s report on the UK’s relationship with the EU, ‘Our Global Future’.
Prior to joining the CBI, she was an account manager at the EU public affairs consultancy The Brussels Office and worked on financial services at the Mission of Norway to the EU. Marte holds an MSc in European Political Economy.
