Manos Schizas is ACCA’s senior economic analyst and acting head of ACCA’s small business policy team based in London. He studied Economics and then Human Resource Management in Athens, Greece before moving to London to study Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics. After graduating, he worked as a labour market researcher for the UK’s Financial Services Skills Council (now the Financial and Legal Skills Partnership) before joining ACCA in 2008.
Manos manages ACCA’s research programme on Access to Finance and is the editor of the ACCA/IMA Global Economic Conditions Survey, the largest regular economic survey of accountants in the world. His policy and research interests also include enterprise economics and statistics, regulatory reform and SME access to markets, including public procurement. He has represented the ACCA at a number of international expert groups on economic matters and access to finance, including most recently the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD.
