If you’re still picking subjects, consider including accounting, maths, economics, or business studies. But don’t worry if your choices are different – ACCA is accessible to students from all backgrounds. If you think getting a job might be your best option at this point, that’s perfectly okay! With ACCA, you can start working towards a professional qualification and jump into your career, gaining real-world experience while you study. If you're based in the UK, we recommend visiting our early careers page to help guide you.
There are so many options, so many entry points
Our Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) is the perfect entry point right out of school. You don’t need any prior knowledge of accountancy – just a drive to learn and grow. From there, you can continue straight into the ACCA professional qualification and become a well-rounded finance professional, ready to lead in any industry.
Entry requirements depend on where you live, but we aim to make ACCA accessible with a starting point for everyone. If you’re not ready to start the full ACCA Qualification, our Foundation level awards are a great place to begin.
Take a look at the minimum entry requirements for your country. No matter where you start, you’ll be on your way to earning a qualification that’s recognised around the world.
Getting through ACCA can take anywhere from 3 to 5 years. But its not all just studying and taking exams. You'll also need 3 years of real-world work experience, so by the end, you'll have both the knowledge and practical skills to stand out in the finance world and get started in your career.
ACCA exams aren’t easy. But that’s completely on purpose. The level of difficulty depends on your strengths, how you study, and any experience you bring to the table. They’re designed to challenge you, but that’s exactly why the ACCA qualification is so well-respected.
