The final LW LSO exam session will take place in June 2026, following which students based in Lesotho wishing to complete the LW exam should select an alternative variant.

What this means for you

If you are considering studying for the LW LSO exam before its withdrawal you may wish to consider these changes in your exam planning. There is no regulatory requirement to complete the LSO variant of the exam, so these changes do not impact recognition of your qualification in any way.

If you have already passed the LW LSO exam, there is no change to the recognition of your pass.

Future support for students

Following the June 2026 session we will have specific support available to help students transition from the LW LSO to another variant of the exam.
