Our programme in Scotland is called 'Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting'.
We've teamed up with Skills Development Scotland, employers, other professional bodies and training providers to deliver a new range of apprenticeships for Scotland.
There are three different programmes to choose from. Each programme offers a different level of training and has been developed to support you with skills and knowledge for working in a specific group of roles.
Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting
Choose this option if you are aiming for or are already working as accounts assistant, cashier, credit control clerk, finance assistant, purchase ledger clerk or sales ledger clerk, this is the apprenticeship for you.
This scheme allows you take ACCA Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting.
Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting
Choose this option if you are aiming for or are already working as trainee accounting technicians or assistant accountant.
This scheme allows you to take ACCA’s Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting.
Level 4 Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting
Choose this option if you are aiming to become a qualified accounting technician or accounts manager.
This scheme allows you to take ACCA’s Diploma in Accounting and Finance, ACCA Certificate in Auditing and ACCA Certificate in Taxation.
Our apprenticeships in Scotland are open to anyone aged 16 or older.
You must be residing in Scotland and eligible to work in the UK.
Your learning will cover three main subject areas:
You'll also take ACCA’s Foundations in Professionalism online module. It will help you understand what it means to act professionally and ethically in your job.
If you want to go on to achieve our ACCA Qualification, experience that you get under your apprenticeship will count towards meeting the Practical Experience Requirement (PER).
From day one of being an ACCA apprentice, you're already on the way to becoming a fully qualified ACCA member.
In addition, you'll get real-life workplace experience, which will put your ahead of your university peers.
Once you've completed your ACCA Trailblazer Apprenticeship, you could choose to go on to gain:
That means that in just five years, you could become a chartered certified accountant, avoided student debt and earned a salary from day one.
You won’t just be level with people who went to university - you’ll be well ahead of them.
